More Notes:

  1. Skill Based Matchmaking is probably the biggest update to this patch. We have noticed that grinding is currently too OP in terms of how the leaderboard is structured this is in part, our attempt at addressing that. As always our goal with how ranked play works is to reward grinding and skill which is why Dummy Thicc is ranked by a combination of win % and also # of wins. Our intention with enabling skill based match making is to make high win % harder to achieve. We recognize that this benefits players who have been playing since launch, this is okay to us. We are always happy to do things that benefit people who have been playing the game longer. Skill based matchmaking is currently very simple, players in Dummy Thicc & Chonk are in one queue & Players in Hefty-Lean are in another queue. We also think this will improve new player retention. Gone are the days of our Dummy Thicc players farming wins against people playing the starter decks for the first time. We also think this will improve retention which will be good for the game long run. In additoin we continue to keep an eye on how OP grinding is for future seasons including considering some digital tournament based qualification paths rather than just seasonal grind paths. Expect an update at the start of the next season. We will not change how qualification paths work for this season.

  2. The Flying Penguin promo currently in the store is our first Gems only item available for sale. It's only going to be around for 1 week then its never coming back to the store. One thing that we are working to balance within the game is card availability for free to play players with also our company being a business that needs to make money to support expanding the player base and the game itself etc. The better that these gems only sales do the more we can continue to do stuff like pack bonanza which help especially players in emerging markets. Please considering purchasing this promo to support the game, and also because the promo is awesome looking.

  3. One of the most asked for things has been a complete documenting of the rules, this now exists here, this will be a living breathing document we will update over time: https://www.vibes.game/blog/vibes-official-comprehensive-rules ( additionally this is NOT a good document to read to learn the rules for a new player, this is intended for use by a judge to get a definitive answer to a rules question while at a tournament, if you are new to the game, download the rules here https://www.vibes.game/tutorial) This document should also help inform bug reports and rules questions of is this a bug or is this me not interpreting correctly how this is intended to work.
